Boka Vanguard --Semi-submersible Heavy-lift Vessel in HRDD
 On 24th Feb, 2018, The Semi-submersible Heavy Lift Vessel, M/V Boka Vanguard undocked to berth for her remaining coating work, after her conversion in dock. Her next cargo is fixed for one FPSO bound for Brazil soon.  The vessel is LOA at 275m, Beam 70m, moulded depth 15.5m, with deadweight 110K tons, 14 knots, and BV class. Her newbuilding contract was worth at 240M USD, which is the biggest submersible heavy lift vessel all over the world, for extra huge cargoes, such offshore equipment as FPSO etc.  As the first BV class rule submersible heavy lift vessel, Boka Vanguard can transport”unlimited” long cargo as she has no bow forcastle,and she can load cargo of 70m width as her accommodation on deck is located overboard.  The conversion this time involved the following major works: 1. Three modification on hull: anchor recess, thrusters, electrical thrusters structure modification of 480 tons steel, which are all underwater with complication and should be performed in dock. 2. Hull vertical and flat bottom full sandblasting of 25000 m2 for silicone paint, main deck 20000 m2 high pressure water washing for coating. 3. Newly fabricated sea-fasting for 450 tons of steel.  With the sound organization,the project is accompanished with owner representatives approval, even the project covered the period of Chinese Lunar New Year.
